Dr Lauren Ingram - Clinical Psychologist image
I’m Dr Lauren Ingram, a Clinical Psychologist with nearly 15 years experience working in the NHS. I have worked across a variety of services in my career, and have been privileged to work with a broad range of individuals (across the lifespan 5-85yrs), families, and teams. I therefore have good experience of working with a range of psychological difficulties, life experiences and/or neurodevelopmental differences (such as Autism Spectrum Condition). I have recently left the NHS to focus on my role at Wimborne Psychology.

I am experienced in working with children, teenagers, families and parents. An important part of this work is to see an individual as part of a ‘system’ rather than in isolation. Although we may work 1:1, we would also be able to consider these factors in our work together in order to develop our understanding and work towards your hopes.

I am dedicated to my work and feel honoured to work with people both during and following difficult and challenging times of their lives. I understand how daunting it can be to seek support initially and make that first step, and then secondly to meet with someone like me. I will endeavour to put you at ease in order for us to work together on an understanding about what is happening for you, your hopes (and maybe reservations), and a plan of how we will work towards the future you would like to see beyond the end of therapy. Our work can draw on a variety of approaches to suit you and your goals.

I have undertaken additional training in the following therapeutic approaches; Narrative Therapy, DDP Level 1, ACT for adolescents, Emotion Regulation Skills.

Most recently I have been training towards becoming an EMDR Therapist (Eye-movement, Desensitisation and Reprocessing) which has a growing body of evidence in reprocessing single event and more complex trauma, as well as many daily anxieties and insecurities.
