I'm Becca Ashby, a registered Mental Health Nurse with 11 years experience working in the NHS across both Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and adult services.

I assess and assist people in understanding their mental health conditions and support clients towards recovery. I am a trained therapist in Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), which reduces distress and aids the brain in processing trauma.
I have a wide range of experience in the communities of Dorset and Hampshire, including in-patient, crisis and home treatment, liaison psychiatry, community CAMHS and the Connections Service. I was part of a project that empowered young people under the justice system to be part of the decision-making process in their own care, and have been part of the team that redeveloped the community CAMHS service to improve its outcomes.

I am a positive person, passionate about good mental well-being and making changes in people's mental health. I strive to make people comfortable the moment they walk through the door, and believe nobody should ever be judged for their difficulties.

I know it can take courage to address any challenges you may be experiencing. I will always try to make you feel comfortable in my sessions and help you to set goals that will support your recovery.
