Confidentiality Policy

Your privacy and trust are of the utmost importance to us. All information discussed during therapy sessions is treated as strictly confidential. This means that we will not share what you tell us with anyone outside the clinic without your consent.

Exceptions to Confidentiality

There are certain situations where we may need to share information to ensure your safety or the safety of others:

  1. Risk of Harm:

    • If we have reason to believe that you or someone else may be at risk of harm, we are obliged to take appropriate action.

  2. Safeguarding Concerns:

    • If safeguarding concerns arise, we will discuss these with you and agree on the next steps, including who may need to be contacted.

    • In rare circumstances where immediate safety is at risk, we may need to alert relevant parties before discussing it with you to protect you or others.

Session Notes and Record-Keeping

  • All session notes and records are safely stored in a locked cabinet and are handled in accordance with our professional body’s code of conduct.

  • Notes are used solely to support your care and ensure continuity of treatment.
