1. About Us
Wimborne Psychology Ltd is a private psychology practice based in the United Kingdom. We provide psychological assessment, therapy, and related mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
By booking or attending an appointment, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Services
We provide psychological services including (but not limited to):
Psychological therapy and counselling
Psychological assessments (including autism assessments)
Consultations, supervision, and professional training
Our services are not an emergency or crisis service.
3. Appointments & Attendance
Appointments must be booked in advance.
Sessions begin and end at the scheduled time. Late arrival will reduce session time but will still be charged in full.
If you do not attend a session without notice, this will be charged in full.
4. Cancellations & Missed Appointments
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or rearrange an appointment.
Cancellations within 24-48 hours’ notice, will be charged at 50% of the session fee.
Less than 24hrs notice or or non-attendance, will be charged at 100% of the session fee.
Exceptions may be made at our discretion in exceptional circumstances.
5. Fees & Payment
Fees are communicated at the time of booking.
Payment is required in advance in advance for the first session and in advance for diagnostic assessments. Follow up therapy sessions will be invoiced monthly.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services if fees remain unpaid.
6. Confidentiality
All sessions are confidential and handled in accordance with UK data protection law and professional ethical guidelines.
Confidentiality may only be broken where:
There is a risk of serious harm to you or others
There is a safeguarding concern involving a child or vulnerable adult
Disclosure is required by law or court order
Where possible, this will be discussed with you first.
7. Data Protection & Records
We comply with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
Personal data is stored securely and only accessed by authorised clinicians.
Clinical records are retained for the legally required period.
You may request access to your records in writing, subject to legal and ethical limitations.

8. Suitability of Services
Our services are not suitable for:
Crisis situations
Immediate risk of harm to self or others
If urgent help is required, you should contact:
Your GP
NHS 111
Emergency services (999)
9. Children & Young People
For clients under 18:
Consent must be provided by a person with parental responsibility
In some circumstances, clinicians may work directly with a young person under Gillick competence principles
Confidentiality will be discussed and handled sensitively.
10. Professional Standards
All clinicians work within the ethical and professional frameworks of their relevant regulatory bodies (e.g. HCPC, BPS, NMC, BABCP, BACP).
We do not guarantee specific outcomes from therapy or assessment.
11. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, we encourage you to raise this with us directly in the first instance.

12. Termination of Services
We reserve the right to end services if:
Therapy is no longer clinically appropriate
Boundaries or terms are repeatedly breached
Fees remain unpaid
Where possible, we will discuss this with you and offer appropriate signposting.
13. Limitation of Liability
Wimborne Psychology Ltd is not liable for:
Indirect or consequential losses
Outcomes beyond reasonable professional control
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The most current version will be available on our website.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
